How Flatbed Car Transport Works

Flatbed car transport is unlike open or enclosed shipping because it is not considered to be an on-demand type of transportation. It is used to transport larger-than-usual vehicles, vehicles that are wrecked or cannot roll, or vehicles that aren’t automobiles, like construction vehicles and the like. Flatbed shipping is generally far more expensive than open transport because there are far fewer flatbed shippers than open shippers because there is not nearly as much demand for flatbed transport as there is for open and enclosed. We may ask you for the vehicle’s dimensions (length, width, height and weight) if we suspect that you will need flatbed transportation – be certain to let us know if your vehicle has been lifted or modified in any way as well.
