When shipping to or from the state of Idaho, you’re probably going to see slightly higher prices and lower carrier availability as there are few major cities within the state and even fewer interstates that service much of the state. I-90 is the main interstate that runs east-west through the northern part of the state, connecting Idaho with Washington and Montana. It’s not that popular of an auto transport route, at least not in the west – eastern I-90 is quite popular, but few carriers run routes that far west. I-84 runs through Boise on its way from Portland to Salt Lake City, where carriers can then run routes along I-80, and I-15 runs north from Salt Lake City through the eastern parts of Idaho and then into western Montana.
