Relocation Tips: Bill of Lading

The Bill of Lading is the contract between you and the carrier – it is imperative that you and the carrier both sign it at pickup and delivery and that you understand the terminology and what is expected of you. The Bill of Lading is also used for insurance purposes; on the Bill of Lading will be a section for inspection reports, and you and the carrier are required to do an inspection for prior damage upon pickup and new damage again at delivery. This is important because without this inspection sheet you cannot file an insurance claim if your vehicle is damaged. Call our office at 888-333-6343 for more information about the Bill of Lading.
