Brokers are important because they act as the official customer service representatives of the auto shipping industry. Carriers rely on brokers to find them loads, as they don’t have the time or budget for online advertising or anything like that. Carriers have to drive all day, so they rely on brokers to find them new vehicles to ship and to basically help keep their company running. You probably won’t be able to book with a carrier directly; they don’t often book directly with customers before more often than not that customer is not located on any of the routes they run and would cost more than they would make to go out and get the vehicle. Booking with a broker allows them to find a carrier near you and then quickly dispatch your vehicle to that carrier and then they pick it up in 3-5 days, as opposed to 2-4 weeks (like you would get with booking with a carrier directly).
