Relocation Tips: Delivery Windows

Enclosed 2

In the auto shipping industry, you have what are known as pickup and delivery windows. These are timeframes that are given to you, by us, for scheduling purposes – we give you a window (usually 1-3 days) when the carrier will likely be calling you to arrange the specific delivery of your vehicle, as well as where. This is an important part of your auto transport experience and one that should not be taken lightly. Delivery windows are estimates, yes, but they should be adhered to closely. Make sure that you are able to meet with the driver, or have someone you know or trust do it for you, when they call and you two schedule a specific time and place. You don’t want to arrange delivery and then bail – your carrier could charge you late fees for not showing up when they were there. Time is money to carriers, which means that the quicker they deliver your car the quicker they get paid and back on the road again, and that’s what they want. Don’t you want your car as fast as possible too?
