The state of Delaware is one of the smallest in the U.S. and it’s really not that popular of an area to transport a vehicle to. Seriously, unless you’re shipping to like, Wilmington, it’s going to cost a lot more than just about every
other shipment of the same distance that’s going to other cities. But why? It’s because Delaware’s only interstate is I-95, which it shares with almost every single state on the eastern seaboard (it only runs from Miami, Florida up to Maine and spans 1900 miles), and while this definitely helps the cause when it comes to transporting your vehicle to or from the area, it doesn’t really help if you’re trying to get into the southern parts of the state. For shipments to or from areas that aren’t along I-95, you can either pay some extra money so your carrier will travel along smaller state routes, or you can have them drop it off in a city along 95 and then you can pick it up and drive it wherever you want it to go.
